Breakdown / Behind the Scenes

Simple mesh to volume modifier applied – materials and textures generated for desired effect.

Node setup randomly generates different coloured specs of glitter and allows editors/compositors to adjust the emission with a simple slider.

Node setup utilizes a color ramp to easily adjust the colour gradient of the liquid for latter compositing/colour editting.

Node setup makes steam appear as an emission only to the camera, therefore not affecting the scene.

Second multiply node controls the density of the steam visible to the camera.

Colour ramp adjusts the value of the mask for the smoke.

Emission node then controls the opacity of the simulation.
